What is a business model?

Your business model describes how your organization creates and delivers a product or service, and captures revenue. A business model is:

  • A simplified “map of the territory” that allows you to model change and consider its implications—before making real change
  • An easy strategic planning approach
  • Action steps—it forms the basis for an implementation plan
