Claire Celsi
Owner, The Public Relations Project

Claire is a public relations professional and Des Moines native. Her consulting firm, The Public Relations Project, assists businesses, government agencies and educational institutions in developing and implementing social media and public relations programs. A Drake University alum, she is an lecturer and adjunct professor at her alma mater, and has taught Internet Marketing in the business school at Drake and PR Writing in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. She’s also teaching a graduate seminar class this spring on social media.

Claire has spoken to groups of communicators all over the country who are learning to implement social media strategies and helps them weave social media strategies with traditional marketing. Claire's consulting services include Twitter and blog coaching, educational presentations and helping businesses integrate social media into their strategic communication plans.

An avid blogger, she's been writing about public relations and social media for four years on her publicrelationsprincess.com blog. Claire also hosts a weekly radio show by the same name, and features guests from all over Iowa. During the 2008 Iowa Caucuses, she was the author of a political blog and in the past she’s worked for presidential candidate Al Gore and the Iowa Democratic Party.

Dick Dillon
Senior Vice President of Planning and Development, Preferred Family Healthcare, Inc.

Dick Dillon has held many positions in his 28 year involvement with the behavioral health field, including Counselor, Clinical Team Leader, Program Director, and Chief Operating officer. He has also been a consumer of services.

Dick began working with others early in his own recovery, first as a volunteer alumni coordinator, then as an addictions counselor, clinical team leader, and program director. He was the co-founder of the Substance Abuse Services Department of a large Missouri hospital and developed that project to be one of the premier medically-based programs in a multi-state area.

In 1990 Dick joined a publicly funded non-profit group and served as their Chief Operating Officer for a decade. During his tenure, the organization opened four new facilities and made significant clinical transition to evidence-based practice. In 2000, Dick joined Preferred Family Healthcare, Inc. which was then, as now, one of the most progressive and fast-growing mental health service providers in the United States. He has served for the past several years as Senior Vice President of Planning and Development. In his own words "My job is to help determine what we need to do next to be of best service to our clientele, and find the resources to make that happen!' Dick has a keen interest in the development and use of digital tools and the internet to accomplish organizational and clinical goals.

Dick has been an adjunct faculty member on the staff of three universities, and is a long-time lecturer and educator. He is also a Diplomate of the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling, and Psychotherapy.

Jay Ford, Ph.D.
Director of Research, NIATx / University of Wisconsin – Madison

Dr. Ford is an Assistant Scientist in the Center for Health Enhancement Systems Studies at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and the NIATx Director of Research. Trained as a health systems engineer; he has over 25 years experience working in both acute and behavioral healthcare. Over the past eight years, he has worked with states and providers across the country as a process improvement coach; served as conference faculty and co-authored articles highlighting NIATx successes.

Jay's research concentrations include organizational and individual change, quality improvement, outcomes analysis and impact of health information technology on process workflow. His research with NIATx applies health systems engineering principals and techniques to improve health care delivery systems, study how organization change is implemented and sustained and its impact on employee commitment to change; examine how health information technology impacts and influences process workflow and explores how quality improvement impacts proximal and distal client outcomes. He also has extensive experience managing data systems across multiple healthcare organizations and evaluating long-term planning initiatives.

Robert H. Hansen
Chief Executive Officer, Prestera Center for Mental Health Services, Inc.

Robert Hansen has been the Chief Executive Officer of Prestera Center for Mental Health Services, Inc. since 1990. During his tenure as Executive Director, the agency has grown from 80 employees and 8 different locations to nearly 800 employees and serving an 8 county area with over 50 locations. Prestera Center is now the largest mental health provider in the state of West Virginia, serving over 14,000 individuals each year in several capacities, including adult mental health, crisis, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, and children and adolescent services.

Bob has over 30 plus years of experience in the behavioral health field in West Virginia. Beyond his service as Prestera Center's Executive Director, Hansen has served on numerous boards, including First Choice Health Systems, Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital, and the Healing Place of Huntington. Prior to Prestera Center, Hansen also worked for Shawnee Hills Community Mental Health Center and served as Director of the Office of Behavioral Health Services for the State of West Virginia.

Hansen received his undergraduate degree from Marietta College, and completed his graduate work at Syracuse University. Bob Hansen resides in Teays Valley with his wife, Linda. His two sons, Seth and Zach, both continue to reside in West Virginia. Seth currently works with Verizon Wireless and Zach is Family Physician with Valley Health Systems in Huntington. Bob and Linda Hansen recently welcomed their first grandchild into the world, Hannah Elizabeth.

Joyel Harless, MA
Intellectual Disabilities Program Director, Prestera Center for Mental Health Services, Inc

Joyel has 13+ years of mental health experience including residential, crisis, day treatment, case management, supported employment, and intellectual disabilities services at Prestera Center, the largest mental health center in the state of West Virginia.

She earned her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in psychology at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Prior to completing graduate school, Joyel worked for the Student Health Education Programs at Marshall University where she headed up sex education groups for female students and anger management groups for male student athletes. Joyel is currently the Program Director of Intellectual Disabilities services at Prestera Center.

In her role as Program Director, she has helped expand a program that originally just served one individual to a program that serves over 120 consumers to date and is constantly growing. Prestera Center also has the largest facility based day habilitation program in the Charleston, West Virginia area, which was started under Joyel's direction. She is an active member of the Developmental Disabilities Committee for Behavioral Health Providers and is constantly seeking creative ways to foster independence in the lives of those with intellectual disabilities.

David McClaskey, PE
President, Pal's Business Excellence Institute

David is co-founder and President of Pal's Business Excellence Institute (BEI). Since 1999, he has been teaching and helping leaders and managers around the U.S. and Canada use Pal's world-class performance excellence practices to improve their performance and achieve excellence.

As a consultant, David works with all types of organizations and companies to help them use Baldrige, Customer Service, Lean Six Sigma, Lean, and other performance management tools to improve their management, work processes and results. David has consulted with manufacturing, service, health care, education, small businesses, government, and non-profit organizations. David is a national instructor for the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He co-developed and teaches ASQ's, 5-day "Introduction to Quality Management" course that is offered nationally. David is a Baldrige expert and has assisted six companies in winning seven Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards (about 10% of the total winners). Poudre Valley Health Care (2008); University of Northern Colorado Monfort College of Business (2004); Pal’s Sudden Service (2001); OMI (2000); The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company (1999 and 1992); and Eastman Chemical Company (1993). He also assisted Florida Power and Light in becoming the first company outside of Japan to win Japan’s National Quality Award, the Deming Prize. David served as one of nine judges for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award from 1999-2002.

David is a Fellow of both ASQ and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). He is an ASQ-certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Manager, Quality Improvement Associate, and a licensed Professional Engineer. David has bachelors and masters degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee.

Enid Montague, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Wisconsin – Madison

Dr. Montague is currently an Assistant Professor and an Anna Julia Cooper Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and director of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab.

Her research uses human-computer interaction methodologies, design principles and theories to understand health care systems to promote safety and patient-centered care. At present, Dr. Montague explores the role of trust between people and technologies in health care work systems. She looks at organizational and design factors that affect both workers and patients with the overall goal of understanding technology mediated interactions and designing new and effective health technologies.

Dr. Montague has received numerous awards for her research including the Francis Research Fellowship for research that emphasizes "longer, safer and healthier lives" and a Kl2 early career award from that National Institutes of Health (NIH) to explore trust in health care systems.
